Role & responsibilities

- Design and develop industrial valves and related components as per customer requirements and applicable international standards.

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.

- Review customer specifications, technical documents, and project requirements to ensure design compliance.

- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and maintain engineering documentation.

- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Purchase, Quality, and Sales departments during product development and manufacturing.

- Provide technical support to the production team for manufacturing-related issues.

- Evaluate design feasibility, manufacturability, and cost optimisation opportunities.

- Review and approve engineering drawings before release for production.

- Participate in design reviews, product improvement initiatives, and value engineering activities.

- Assist in recent product development and customization projects.

- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, BS, DIN, ISO, and customer specifications.

- Resolve technical queries from internal departments and customers.





- Maintain revision control and update engineering drawings and documents as required.

- Support quality investigations by analysing design-related issues and implementing corrective actions.

- Ensure adherence to company engineering procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and valve engineering.

- Hands-on experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or Solid Edge.

- Good understanding of industrial valve design, pressure ratings, materials, and manufacturing processes.

- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), engineering drawings, and machining practices.

- Familiarity with international standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, DIN, ISO, and BS.

- Experience in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.

- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.

- Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
