Position : DB2 z/OS Database Transformation Expert

Location : Hyderabad, Onsite - Local Only

Immediate Joiners : Max 15 days

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced DB2 z/OS Database Transformation Expert to lead legacy database modernization initiatives and support enterprise-wide digital transformation programs. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in DB2 for z/OS administration, database migration, performance optimization, cloud transformation, automation, and AI-enabled modernization strategies.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.




- Minimum 5 years of experience as a DB2 for z/OS DBA.
- Solid expertise in SQL and database performance tuning.

Technical Skills :

- IBM and BMC database utilities: REORG, RUNSTATS, Image Copy, Point-in-Time Recovery, Tablespace Expansion and Reduction.
- Knowledge of: JCL, TSO, IBM QMF, BMC Performance Toolset, ACF2, z/OS, CA Job Scheduler, VSAM Files, DB2 COBOL Programs, DB2 COBOL Subroutines.
- Experience supporting production and implementation environments on z/OS platforms, troubleshooting complex performance issues, managing IBM PMRs, and disaster recovery planning.

Desired Experience :

- DB2 z/OS to DB2 RDS or PostgreSQL migration projects.
- Enterprise-scale modernization and AI-assisted migration initiatives.
- Multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
