Who are we looking for?
Our clients across BFSI and IT are increasingly reliant on data-driven decision-making to improve risk management, customer experience, and product performance. As part of a broader initiative to strengthen analytical capability, they are seeking experienced Data Scientists/Analysts to support critical business and technology initiatives through rigorous data exploration, modeling, and insight generation.
The consultant will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate raw data into actionable recommendations, build and validate analytical models, and improve the quality and usability of reporting and decision-support tools across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Explore, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities relevant to business objectives.
- Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models to support forecasting, risk assessment, segmentation, or optimization use cases.
- Design and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide clear, timely insights to business stakeholders.
- Partner with business and technology teams to understand requirements and translate analytical findings into practical recommendations.
- Contribute to data quality, governance, and documentation practices to ensure reliability and reproducibility of analysis.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, business-relevant manner.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 4–10 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a related analytics role, ideally with exposure to BFSI, IT, or both.
- Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with statistical modeling and/or machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, or equivalent).
- Sector-relevant domain exposure: credit risk, fraud detection, or regulatory reporting data (BFSI); product, usage, or customer analytics (IT).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
