Role Overview:

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture that powers our analytical and operational platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and software developers, to translate business requirements into high-performance data pipelines. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our data processing capabilities, ensuring that stakeholders have reliable, real-time access to critical information to drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data for downstream analytics.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure high data quality, consistency, and availability across the enterprise data warehouse.
- Manage real-time data streaming architectures using Confluent Kafka to support low-latency data consumption and event-driven applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to perform data modeling and schema design,



ensuring efficient storage and retrieval in NoSQL and relational databases.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production data workflows to identify bottlenecks and improve the overall performance of Big Data clusters.
- Automate data infrastructure tasks and deployment processes within AWS environments to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala for building robust data processing applications.
- Strong command over SQL and NoSQL database technologies, with the ability to design complex queries and optimize database performance.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data frameworks including Hadoop and Spark to process and analyze large-scale datasets effectively.
- Expertise in building and managing real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka and Confluent Kafka.
- Practical knowledge of cloud-based data services within the AWS ecosystem, including storage, compute, and orchestration tools.
- Proven ability to design efficient data models and maintain comprehensive data warehousing solutions that support business intelligence needs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by the flexibility to work effectively in a hybrid or office-based environment in Bangalore or Chennai.
- Candidates should possess 0 - 5 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or a related technical domain.
