About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice at GyanSys Inc. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-level data engineering solutions across modern cloud platforms.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects, data scientists, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, and PySpark, contributing to large-scale digital transformation initiatives. The role is based in Bengaluru, Pune, or Hyderabad, with full-time employment and an immediate start preferred for qualified candidates.

The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

The Senior Data

Engineer / Consultant will play a pivotal role in implementing modern data architectures, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring the integrity and security of enterprise data assets.





Qualifications Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of four years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles is essential.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are highly preferred.

Experience working with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, as well as proficiency with SQL and relational databases, is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities The Senior Data Engineer / Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for enterprise data platforms.

Key responsibilities include

- Developing data engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

- Building and optimizing data pipelines that support data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures.
- Implementing Medallion Architecture and modern Lakehouse/Data Platform architectures to ensure efficient data flow and storage.
- Integrating data from diverse sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications.
- Designing and implementing efficient data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Optimizing performance and cost-efficiency of data pipelines, Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters,



and storage solutions.
- Ensuring data quality, validation, governance, security, and compliance through best practices and monitoring tools.
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and related tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Troubleshooting production issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing performance improvements.
- Collaborating with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Participating in technical design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the development of technical best practices within the team.
