Data Centre Project Manager (Workplace Technology & Office Buildouts)

Location: Hyderabad

Role Summary

Sycomp is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead workplace technology deployment and office build projects supporting large-scale corporate office expansions and workplace transformation initiatives.

This role will manage projects through the complete lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design coordination through procurement, construction, technology deployment, commissioning, operational readiness, and final handover.

The ideal candidate has experience managing office buildouts, workplace technology deployments, corporate real estate projects, or enterprise infrastructure programs and can coordinate multiple stakeholders including architects, contractors, consultants, technology vendors, and workplace teams.

This position requires strong project management, vendor management, construction coordination, and workplace technology implementation experience. Candidates should have a solid understanding of structured cabling, networking, Wi-Fi, AV systems, security technologies, and workplace infrastructure.

Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of Hyderabad or be willing to relocate.

What You'll Do

Project Delivery

- Manage projects through the full lifecycle from planning to operational handover.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, milestones, dependencies, risk registers, and executive reporting.
- Drive project governance, status reporting, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage multiple office build and workplace technology projects simultaneously.

Office Build & Workplace Technology Coordination

- Coordinate office construction activities with technology deployment schedules.
- Partner with architects, construction teams, MEP consultants, cabling contractors, furniture vendors, and technology providers.
- Review architectural drawings, floor plans, technology designs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs),



and implementation plans.
- Ensure alignment between construction milestones and technology installation activities.

Technology Infrastructure Deployment

Coordinate implementation and readiness of:

- MDF and IDF rooms
- Structured copper and fiber cabling
- Network racks and cabinets
- LAN and WAN connectivity
- Enterprise Wi-Fi
- Conference room and collaboration technologies
- Audio Visual (AV) systems
- Digital signage
- Physical security and access-control systems
- UPS and technology power requirements
- End-user technology readiness

Site Readiness & Commissioning

- Conduct site surveys and validate infrastructure readiness.
- Review power, cooling, cable pathways, equipment locations, rack layouts, and telecom room requirements.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities across networking, Wi-Fi, AV, cabling, security, and workplace technologies.
- Manage punch-list resolution and final acceptance activities.

Vendor & Contractor Management

- Manage technology vendors, contractors, consultants, and third-party partners.
- Track performance against schedule, budget, quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
- Manage procurement activities, equipment deliveries, staging, logistics, and installation schedules.
- Lead Requests for Information (RFIs), change requests, and change control processes.

Operational Readiness

- Coordinate Day-1 readiness activities across workplace and technology teams.
- Ensure successful handover of technology and workplace infrastructure to operational teams.
- Manage project closeout documentation and lessons-learned reviews.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience supporting office buildouts, workplace technology projects, construction programs, corporate real estate initiatives, or enterprise infrastructure deployments.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and technology vendors.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Structured cabling
- Enterprise networking
- Wi-Fi deployments
- AV and collaboration technologies
- Physical security systems
- Workplace technology infrastructure
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, procurement, change management,



risks, dependencies, and governance processes.
- Ability to interpret construction documentation, floor plans, rack elevations, technology designs, and implementation schedules.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and escalation management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different locations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting enterprise campus, corporate office, or workplace transformation projects.
- Experience working with global technology deployments and distributed stakeholder groups.
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience managing AV deployments, conference room technologies, smart building initiatives, or workplace modernization programs.
