Role Description The Data Analyst role at Times of EV is a full time remote position focused on turning data into actionable insights about audience behavior, content performance, and industry trends. On a day-to-day basis, the Data Analyst will collect, clean, and analyze data from web analytics, social media, newsletters, and other digital platforms. The role involves building reports and dashboards, developing data models, and identifying patterns that inform editorial strategy, audience growth, and product decisions.
The Data
Analyst will collaborate with editorial, marketing, and leadership teams to support data-driven decisions, define key performance metrics,
and evaluate experiments and campaigns. This role also includes preparing clear summaries and visualizations so stakeholders can understand findings and apply them quickly.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analytics, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate clear insights.
- Solid grounding in statistics, including hypothesis testing, basic probability, and interpretation of statistical outputs.
- Experience in data modeling, such as designing data structures, building dashboards, or creating performance metrics and KPIs.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present data findings in a clear, concise, and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, Python or R, BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Understanding of digital media or online publishing metrics (e.g., page views, engagement, conversion, retention) is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote workplace, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in electric vehicles, clean transportation, or sustainability is a plus and will help contextualize data insights within TEV’s mission.
