About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in healthcare data modeling, integration, and analysis. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in building scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure, implementing system health monitoring, and developing continuous integration pipelines. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze large healthcare datasets, optimize SQL queries, and support analytics initiatives focused on value-based care, population health, and operational efficiency.
The Data
Analyst will also be responsible for creating process documentation, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals, ensuring clarity and standardization across healthcare data workflows. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience working with US healthcare datasets, including benefits, claims, and eligibility data, is essential. Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large healthcare datasets is required, along with familiarity with Snowflake, MySQL,
and modern data warehousing concepts.
Experience in creating healthcare process and data flow documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio or equivalent is highly desirable. Solid analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills are necessary, coupled with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams. Knowledge of healthcare business rules, metrics, and reporting frameworks will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities The Data Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including:
- Analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets such as claims, eligibility, provider, utilization, and quality data to generate reports and insights.
- Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze healthcare data from relational databases.
- Performing data validation, reconciliation, and transformation to ensure accurate and compliant reporting for business and regulatory purposes.
- Supporting healthcare data modeling and integration efforts using Snowflake, MySQL, and related platforms to develop data marts and analytics layers.
- Collaborating with data engineering teams to ensure reliable ingestion and integration of data from source systems such as claims processing, provider systems, and eligibility feeds.
- Contributing to analytics initiatives focused on value-based care, population health, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Creating process flows, data lineage diagrams, and system architecture visuals to document healthcare data workflows using tools like Microsoft Visio or draw.io.
- Documenting healthcare business rules, data definitions, metrics logic, and reporting methodologies to promote standardization and clarity.
- Partnering with stakeholders from Healthcare Operations, Finance, Clinical, Quality, and Compliance teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Presenting findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.
