Creative Strategist / Copywriter (Who Can Also Sell)Neuroid Media · Saket, New Delhi · Full-time · Hybrid (4 days WFO)
Most copywriters write ads. We need one who writes reasons to buy.
If your process is "give me the brief, I'll make it sound nice" — close this tab. This role isn't that.
We're looking for the rare person who can sit with a founder's P&L;, watch 40 minutes of customer reviews, find the one thing the buyer is actually scared of — and turn it into a hook that stops a thumb and moves a card.
Copy is the deliverable. Strategy is the job.
Who we are
Neuroid is an integrated growth & creative studio for D2C brands — performance media plus content people actually feel. 150+ brands, 450cr+ in revenue influenced, 22 people, one office in Saket that runs a little loud.
Our creative doesn't go to a "brand book review". It goes live, spends real money, and tells us within 72 hours whether we were right. That feedback loop is either the most exciting thing you've ever heard, or the most terrifying. Both answers are useful.
What you'll actually own
- The angle before the ad. Persona → pain → promise → proof. You decide what we're saying and why it'll work, then write it. Nobody hands you the concept — you build it from reviews, comment sections, sales calls, competitor ads and the brand's actual margins.
- Scripts that get shot. UGC scripts, founder-POV, talking-head hooks, problem-solution, trend formats. Written so a creator can pick it up and perform it — not so it reads well in a doc.
- Static & landing page copy. Hooks, headlines, offer framing, above-the-fold. You'll write pages that have to convert,
not pages that have to win awards.
- The hook library. Twenty ways to open the same idea, ranked by which ones you'd bet on. Iterating the winner instead of falling in love with the first draft.
- Reading the numbers back. Hook rate, hold rate, CTR, thumb-stop.
You'll sit with the media buyers, see which of your lines died, and know why. If a concept flops, the next version is better — not defended.
You're the right person if
- 1–3 years writing copy that ran somewhere real — D2C, agency, in-house, or your own brand. We care about what shipped, not where you sat.
- You can look at a winning ad and break it down in one paragraph: who it's for, what tension it hits, why that hook and not another one.
- You write for the ear, not the eye. Your lines sound like a person talking, not a brand announcing.
- You're chronically online in a useful way — you know which formats are working on Indian Reels this month, not last year.
- You can take "this didn't work, spend was wasted" without going quiet for two days.
- You're fast. Not sloppy-fast. Ten concepts by Thursday fast.
- Bonus, not mandatory: you can rough out a static in Canva/Figma so a designer knows what you meant.
You're NOT the right person if
- You need a full brief,
three references and a mood board before you can start.
- You think "brand voice" means adjectives instead of a point of view.
- You've never read a comment section as research.
- ChatGPT writes your first draft and you edit it. We'll know by the second paragraph.
- Feedback feels like an attack.
Why this beats your current role
- Your work spends money. Not "goes into a deck". Every line you write gets a number attached to it within days.
- You'll learn performance, not just craft. CAC, AOV, MER, contribution margin — the vocabulary that turns a copywriter into a creative strategist, and a creative strategist into someone brands fight to hire.
- Real ownership. You'll be the creative brain on brands, sitting next to the buyer — not the fourth person in a chain of approvals.
- A room worth being in. Saket office, 4 days a week, with people who move quick and skip the politics. The 5th day is yours.
- Visible wins. When a concept scales, everyone knows whose it was.
Think you're this person? Show us, don't tell us.
Don't send a cover letter. Send this:
1. One ad you wish you'd written — and 3 lines on why it works. Any brand, any format.
2. Three hooks for a real product. Pick any D2C brand you like, tell us who you're talking to, and write three opening lines you'd bet spend on.
3. Your portfolio, or 2–3 links to work that actually ran.

If your three hooks are good, we'll skip the small talk and get straight to a conversation.
