We’re looking for a Creative Technologist – AI Product Prototyping & Agentic Workflows to join an experimental technical team supporting a Southeast Asia marketing organisation.
We’re looking for an experienced maker and product prototyper who can take an ambiguous business problem from A to Z – understanding the user need, shaping the product concept, designing a polished and intuitive experience, building the front and back end, connecting AI models and agents, testing it with users, and iterating until it works.
You will be comfortable getting your hands dirty across the entire stack. You don’t need to be the world’s deepest specialist in every layer, but you need enough engineering depth, product judgment, and visual taste to independently turn an idea into a working prototype that people actually want to use.
AI should already be part of how you build. We’re looking for someone who has been actively experimenting with generative AI, coding agents, APIs, automation, and agentic workflows for years — not someone who has only recently added AI tools to their workflow.
This role is unlikely to suit pure UI/UX Designers, front-end-only developers, traditional software engineers without strong prototyping experience, or AI strategists who are not hands-on builders.
About the Role
Build AI Products End-to-End
- Take problems from discovery, concept, UX, prototype, build, testing, and iteration to owning enough of every stage to move independently.
- Build full-stack prototypes using technologies such as Python / Java, JavaScript / TypeScript, APIs, databases, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Create interfaces that are not only functional but polished, intuitive, and visually credible, using strong UX instincts and AI-assisted creative/design tools where helpful.
- Integrate LLMs, agents, automation,
and AI services into working products rather than producing isolated demos or proofs of concept.
Experiment, Prototype & Ship
- Turn messy marketing and operational pain points into lightweight products, tools, and agentic workflows that solve real user problems.
- Prototype rapidly, put work in front of users early, learn from behaviour and feedback, and improve continuously.
- Use AI-native development approaches and coding agents to accelerate ideation, development, testing, and documentation.
- Know when something should remain a scrappy prototype and when it needs stronger architecture to become repeatable and scalable.
Partner with Marketers
- Work directly with non-technical users to understand how they actually work rather than simply building what appears in the initial brief.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into product requirements, workflows, interfaces, and technical solutions.
- Bring ideas proactively — spotting opportunities for AI and automation that stakeholders may not yet know are possible.
- Explain technical possibilities and trade-offs clearly enough to bring marketers and creative teams along with you.
About You
- 8–10 years of experience across product engineering, creative technology, full-stack development, prototyping, or similar maker environments.
- You have built products end-to-end and can show us working examples where you personally contributed across product thinking, UX/front end, back end, and implementation.
- You are a strong full-stack prototyper,
comfortable with Python and/or Java plus JavaScript / TypeScript and modern front-end technologies.
- You have strong UX and visual instincts. You don’t need to be a dedicated designer, but the products you build should look and feel considered — not like engineering demos.
- You have been actively experimenting with Generative AI for several years, including LLM APIs, agentic workflows, coding agents, automation, and AI-assisted product development.
- You are comfortable with platforms and tools such as Gemini, Vertex AI, AI Studio, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent ecosystems.
- You have a true maker mindset: you prefer building something tangible, testing it, and improving it over spending weeks debating the perfect architecture.
- You are comfortable operating without a dedicated Product Manager, UX Designer, or Engineering Manager sitting beside you at every stage.
- You can work with marketers and creatives, understand their workflows, and turn fuzzy problems into genuinely useful tools.
- A portfolio of working prototypes or products is essential. We are particularly interested in seeing what you personally built, how you approached the problem, and where AI featured in the solution.
