Job Summary

Vikarta Herbals is looking for an experienced Cosmetic Formulator to develop and optimize Skin Care, Hair Care, and Herbal Cosmetic products. The candidate should have hands-on experience in cosmetic formulation and be capable of converting product concepts into stable, effective, and commercially viable formulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop new cosmetic formulations based on product concepts and market requirements.
- Formulate and optimize Skin Care and Hair Care products.
- Develop creams, lotions, gels, face washes, serums, shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, hair serums, masks, and other personal care products.
- Select suitable cosmetic raw materials, active ingredients, emulsifiers, surfactants, preservatives, thickeners, oils, extracts, and fragrances.
- Conduct laboratory trials and formulation experiments.
- Optimize formulations for pH, viscosity, texture, appearance, fragrance, stability, and performance.
- Conduct stability and compatibility studies.
- Troubleshoot formulation and product performance issues.
- Improve existing formulations based on product feedback and quality requirements.




- Conduct pilot trials and support scale-up from laboratory batches to commercial production.
- Coordinate with R&D;, Production, QC, QA, Purchase, and Stores teams.
- Research new cosmetic ingredients, herbal extracts, actives, and formulation technologies.
- Maintain formulation sheets, trial records, sample records, and product development documentation.
- Ensure formulations follow GMP, quality standards, and applicable cosmetic requirements.
- Support new product development from concept → formulation → trial → testing → scale-up → commercial production.
- Stay updated with current cosmetic and personal care market trends.

Requirements

- Degree / Master's in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Cosmetic Formulation / Personal Care R&D; is mandatory.
- Experience in Skin Care and Hair Care formulation is preferred.
- Experience in herbal cosmetic manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Freshers are not eligible for this position.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
