Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Consultant Radiologist / Sonologist role based at SREE SARAN MEDICAL CENTER in Tiruppur. The Consultant will perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including ultrasound examinations, and provide clear, evidence-based reports to support clinical decision-making across multiple specialties. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations related to imaging needs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, collaborating closely with referring clinicians, and participating in multidisciplinary discussions when required.





The role also involves maintaining high standards of patient safety, adhering to established protocols and regulatory guidelines, supervising or guiding junior staff or technicians as needed, and contributing to continuous quality improvement in radiology and sonology services. The Consultant is expected to uphold the center’s mission by delivering empathetic, ethical, and efficient patient care.

Qualifications

- Relevant medical qualification (MBBS) with MD / DNB in Radiology or equivalent, and appropriate registration with the Medical Council.
- Strong proficiency in diagnostic radiology, including ultrasound and sonology, with the ability to accurately interpret and report imaging findings.
- Experience using contemporary imaging equipment and PACS / RIS systems, with adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary clinical teams and explaining findings to patients when needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Tiruppur, manage a steady clinical workload, and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Prior experience in a multi-specialty hospital or similar setting is preferred; exposure to rural or community outreach programs is an added advantage.
