Role Description The Confluent Kafka Administrator will manage, configure, and monitor Kafka clusters and related Confluent components to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing and upgrading Kafka and Confluent platforms, managing topics and partitions, implementing access controls, and troubleshooting production issues. The role also involves working closely with development and DevOps teams to design streaming architectures, optimize resource usage, and support application integration.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City,



requiring close collaboration with local technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Confluent Kafka administration, including cluster setup, configuration, scaling, and monitoring.
- Candidates should possess skills in Linux system administration, shell scripting, and managing networking and security for distributed systems.
- Candidates should possess experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code for deployment and management.
- Candidates should possess skills in performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting production issues in high-throughput, low-latency environments.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with streaming architectures, data pipelines, and integration with microservices or enterprise applications.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Beneficial qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with related technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka ecosystem tools, relational and NoSQL databases, message queues) is considered an advantage.
