Meta is looking for a Communications Manager to help shape and tell our story in India, one of our strategically important markets. This role sits at the intersection of business, policy, and product communications, and will play a central part in shaping our public narrative, protecting our reputation, and navigating a complex regulatory environment. You'll build communications programs that drive business impact and translate complex technology topics for diverse audiences, partnering closely with global and cross-functional teams. and will report to the Director of India communications.

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the communications strategy for India, adapting global narratives for the local market, media landscape, and regulatory environment
- Lead communications for product and feature rollouts in India, including business and platform updates and policy initiatives
- Build and manage relationships with top-tier tech, business, consumer, and policy media in India; position Meta's leadership through briefings, events, and executive visibility
- Partner closely with product, research, policy, and legal teams to align messaging and manage sensitive or emerging issues, working with global communications and cross-functional teams
- Coordinate with global and regional communications leads to ensure narrative consistency while reflecting India-specific context and priorities
- Track media coverage, narrative share, and sentiment to inform strategy iterations





Minimum Qualifications

- 13+ years of experience in communications across technology, policy, and business, with deep expertise in leading strategies independently
- Proven track record of building and running communications programs end to end
- Strong media relationships and experience in working with journalists across business, technology, or policy
- Experience advising senior leaders and managing complex or sensitive issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and solid judgement under pressure
- Ability to prioritize competing workstreams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience at a technology platform or in a highly regulated or high-scrutiny industry
- Experience working across regions and with global, cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Experience spanning business, policy, and product communications. Experience in navigating complex regulatory or public-affairs environments
