Key Roles &

- Responsibilities

Content Creation

- Write and edit content for social media, website pages, newsletters, brochures, and reports.

- Prepare communication materials such as flyers, posters, presentations, campaign content.

- Support the creation of short videos, infographics, and simple visual stories (with help from designers when needed).

- Ensure all content is easy to understand, accurate, and aligned with CIFs values.

Social Media &

- Online Presence

- Manage CIF’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube).

- Plan and schedule regular posts to keep our audience engaged.

- Track reach, engagement, and audience growth, and share monthly updates.

- Respond to messages and comments in a timely and respectful way.

- Support digital campaigns during special events, days of observance, or fundraising drives.

Storytelling &

- Field Communication

- Collect stories, photographs, case studies, and updates from programme teams in all states.

- Visit field locations (occasionally) to gather real stories and understand programme activities.

- Write easy, honest, and powerful impact stories that show the challenges and successes of children and families we work with.

Branding, Visibility &

- Donor Communication

- Ensure CIF’s branding guidelines are followed in all communication materials.

- Support the design and printing of banners, standees, posters, and other collaterals for events, workshops, campaigns, and conferences.

- Prepare content for donor reports,



presentations, proposals, newsletters, and website updates.

- Maintain an organised library of photos, videos, logos, templates, and other communication assets.

Website Management, Coordination &

- Collaboration

- Support updates to the CIF website with new stories, photos, project updates, and key achievements.

- Coordinate with web designers or developers for major changes when needed.

- Work closely with programme teams, the fundraising team, and the leadership team to understand communication needs.

- Support internal communication—templates, documentation, and event support.

Qualifications &

- Experiences required:

- A bachelor or master’s degree in communications, journalism, social sciences, or a related field.

- 1–3 years of experience in communications, social media, content writing, or similar roles.

- Strong writing and editing skills in English, ability to explain ideas in a simple and engaging way.

- Basic knowledge of managing social media pages and understanding what works well online.

- Ability to collect stories and information from the field and turn them into clear, human-centred content.

- Comfortable using basic design or editing tools (Canva, simple video editing apps, etc.).

- Good coordination skills and the ability to work with teams across different locations.

- An interest in social issues, children’s rights, and development work.

- Willingness to travel occasionally to project locations.
