Business Development Executive – Freight Forwarding

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Salary: ₹8,000 – ₹25,000 per month

About the Role

Seaway Logisolution is looking for a confident, self-motivated and proactive Business Development Executive to join our growing freight forwarding and logistics team.

The role involves business development, lead generation, cold calling, client meetings, client handling, freight quotation, follow-ups and coordination within the freight forwarding and import-export industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new business through cold calling, lead generation and client visits.
- Identify and approach potential customers in the freight forwarding and import-export sector.
- Conduct cold visits and attend client meetings.
- Handle client communication and regular follow-ups.
- Prepare and handle freight quotations.
- Follow up on enquiries and quotations until closure.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Negotiate freight rates and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with CHA, shipping lines, transporters and other logistics partners.
- Coordinate with the internal sales and operations team.
- Maintain records of leads, enquiries and client interactions.

Requirements
- Basic knowledge or experience in Freight Forwarding.
- Basic knowledge or experience in Import & Export.




- Knowledge of Customs Clearance / CHA processes is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good negotiation and client-handling skills.
- Confident in cold calling and meeting clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive and target-oriented.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / MS Excel.
- Candidates comfortable with client meetings and cold visits will be preferred.
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics or import-export will be an advantage.

Candidates with practical experience in freight forwarding, import-export or customs clearance will be preferred.
