Role: Business Development Engineer – Medical Sector
Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to drive growth in our Medical Sector business. The ideal candidate will bring a robust medical industry background combined with technical know-how in plastics, molding, and tooling to identify opportunities, build client relationships, and support commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the medical device/healthcare sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with medical OEMs and key accounts
- Support technical discussions on plastic polymers, injection molding, mold design, and part/tool costing
- Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals and quotations
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to align customer requirements with capabilities
- Track market trends and competitor activity in the medical CDMO space
Requirements
- Experience needed: 2 to 5 Years
- Background in a medical device / healthcare manufacturing company (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of plastic polymers, injection molding, mold/tooling, and part/tool costing (added advantage)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills — a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Plastics/Mechanical/Polymer preferred)
