We provide customized, research-driven solutions based on each client's business requirements and objectives. ROLE OVERVIEWWe are looking for a Business Development Assistant to support Digenie's client acquisition and business growth.

The role involves identifying businesses that could benefit from our services, approaching relevant decision-makers, understanding their requirements, presenting suitable solutions and developing relationships that can eventually convert into business.

You will manage opportunities through the process of:

Prospecting → Outreach → Requirement Understanding → Presentation → Follow-up → Conversion → Relationship Management

This is not a purely desk-based or back-office role. It requires regular communication with businesses and decision-makers, client meetings and proactive follow-up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Development &

- Lead Generation

- Research businesses, industries and potential markets.
- Identify companies that may require Digenie's services.
- Identify relevant founders, business owners and decision-makers.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients.
- Initiate conversations through calls, WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, networking and other channels.
- Explore new methods and channels for generating business opportunities.
- Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities rather than relying only on leads provided by the company.

Client Communication & • Requirement Understanding
- Communicate professionally with business owners, founders and senior decision-makers.
- Understand the client's business, objectives and challenges.
- Identify their marketing, technology or business requirements.
- Explain Digenie's services clearly and confidently.
- Recommend relevant services based on the client's requirements.




- Answer initial queries and coordinate with the appropriate internal team when technical or specialized information is required.

Relationship Management
- Build professional relationships with prospective clients.
- Maintain regular communication throughout the decision-making process.
- Follow up consistently on open opportunities.
- Understand changing client requirements and identify potential future opportunities.
- Maintain a positive and professional experience for prospects throughout the business development process.
- Develop relationships that can lead to repeat business, referrals and long-term opportunities.

Meetings & • Presentations
- Schedule and attend meetings with prospective clients.
- Present Digenie's services, capabilities and relevant solutions.
- Understand requirements during client discussions.
- Prepare or coordinate proposals and presentations with internal teams.
- Participate in commercial discussions and negotiations when required.
- Represent Digenie professionally during client interactions.

Client Acquisition & • Target Achievement
- Take ownership of opportunities from initial contact through conversion.
- Convert qualified prospects into active, paying clients.
- Maintain an organized pipeline and follow-up schedule.
- Track prospects, discussions, proposals and conversion status.
- Identify reasons for stalled or lost opportunities.
- Continuously improve outreach, follow-up and conversion approaches.
- Work towards the monthly client acquisition targets set by the company.

Performance incentives may be provided for achieving or exceeding applicable targets, as per company policy. Internal Coordination

- Coordinate with Digenie's creative, digital marketing, technology and other teams.
- Communicate client requirements accurately to the relevant teams.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations and service recommendations.
- Coordinate internally to obtain information required for prospective clients.
- Ensure smooth communication between prospects and internal teams.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT VS. DIRECT SALESWhile client acquisition and revenue generation are important objectives, this role is not limited to straightforward transactional selling. A significant part of the role involves:

Understanding the client's business → Identifying their requirements → Building trust → Presenting the right solution → Maintaining the relationship → Converting the opportunity into business.

The candidate should therefore be comfortable with both relationship building and measurable client acquisition.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis is an on-site role based in Egmore, Chennai.

The position also involves





- Regular travel within Chennai for client meetings.
- Visiting client offices and other professional locations when required.
- Occasional travel to other cities for client meetings or business development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Client Acquisition, Relationship Management or a similar role is an advantage.
- Freshers with strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills may also be considered.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, web development or technology services will be an advantage.
- Experience communicating with businesses, founders or decision-makers will be preferred.
