Job Title: Business/Data Analyst

Position: Senior Software developer

Experience:6+ yrs

Main location: Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full Time

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, challenges, and requirements.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, use cases, process flows, and technical/data requirements.
- Perform data analysis, profiling, validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to support business decision making.




- Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Work with business and technical teams to define data mappings, business rules, transformation logic, and data quality requirements.
- Support data integration, migration, and ETL/ELT initiatives by validating source to target mappings and transformation rules.
- Perform data quality assessments and identify data inconsistencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Create process documentation, including current state and future state workflows.
- Partner with developers, data engineers, architects, QA teams, and product owners throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, validating results, managing defects, and coordinating business sign off.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and data driven decision making

Essential skills
- Strong experience in business analysis and data analysis.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating data.
- Experience working with databases and data platforms such as: SQL Server Oracle Hadoop
- Experience defining and monitoring KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and reports.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations for data analysis and validation.
- Experience creating:



Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) User stories and acceptance criteria Process flows Data mapping documents Source to target mappings
- Proficiency with requirements and collaboration tools such as: Jira Confluence
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Experience supporting UAT, defect management, and production validation.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across business, data, and technology teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality results within established timelines.
