Role Description The Back End Developer will work full time on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs.

Responsibilities include implementing secure and scalable back-end services, integrating databases, optimizing application performance, and ensuring high reliability of systems used by channel partners and EMI customers. The role involves writing clean, maintainable code, troubleshooting and debugging issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions.



The developer will also coordinate with front-end teams to ensure smooth integration, support production deployments, and assist in continuous improvement of existing platforms.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Programming for building reliable server-side applications.
- Experience in Software Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for designing modular, maintainable codebases.
- Ability to collaborate with Front-End Development teams to ensure seamless integration between client and server components.
- Proficiency in at least one contemporary back-end language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Java, .NET, Python, or similar) and experience with RESTful APIs.
- Working knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), version control systems (e.g., Git), and basic security best practices.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in fintech, retail tech, or EMI-related platforms is an advantage.
