Azure DevOps Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to support the security, compliance, automation, monitoring, and operational management of an enterprise Microsoft Azure setting.

The role will focus on automating cloud controls, maintaining compliance across Azure subscriptions, implementing monitoring and remediation capabilities, supporting AI-enabled operational improvements, and managing day-to-day cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform recurring security and compliance assessments across Azure subscriptions.
- Validate Azure environments against CIS benchmarks and organizational security standards.
- Develop automation for continuous compliance monitoring, reporting, and remediation.
- Design and deploy preventive controls using Azure Policy, policy initiatives, management groups, and Azure RBAC.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure, policy, configuration, and application deployments.
- Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Automate operational processes using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or equivalent tools.
- Configure monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Workbooks, and Action Groups.
- Support Azure infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and resource provisioning.
- Assist with Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, routing, firewalls, private endpoints, DNS, VPN, and ExpressRoute.
- Triage and manage incidents, service requests, problems, and remediation tickets through ServiceNow or a similar platform.




- Identify unused or underutilized Azure resources and support cost-optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement AI-assisted DevOps and AIOps capabilities for alert correlation, incident summarization, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and operational automation.
- Use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or equivalent platforms to improve scripting, documentation, troubleshooting, and engineering productivity.
- Support secure deployment, monitoring, and governance of Azure AI services where required.
- Ensure AI-assisted solutions follow organizational security, privacy, access-control, and responsible-AI requirements.
- Participate in production support and on-call activities as required.

Required Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, or Azure platform operations.
- Experience supporting multi-subscription enterprise Azure environments.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Policy, Azure RBAC, management groups, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Experience with CIS Azure benchmarks, cloud compliance, and security remediation.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or equivalent technologies.




- Experience with Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines, Git, and controlled deployment processes.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, Workbooks, and alerting.
- Working knowledge of Azure networking and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Experience with ServiceNow or another IT service-management platform.
- Understanding of incident, problem, change, request, and knowledge-management processes.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development, AIOps, generative AI, or Azure AI services.
- Ability to evaluate AI use cases for operational automation, monitoring, and incident management.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting regulated or security-sensitive environments.
- Experience with automated compliance reporting and remediation.
- Experience integrating Azure alerts with ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Azure Landing Zones, Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark, and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Exposure to Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or AI-enabled observability platforms.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into DevOps pipelines, operational workflows, or support processes.
- Understanding AI security, prompt and data protection, model access controls, and responsible-AI practices.
- Knowledge of FinOps, Microsoft Sentinel, AKS, or cloud cost optimization.
- Relevant Azure, DevOps, AI, or Terraform certifications are preferred.
