About the Role /n Cherry Bekaert is seeking Associate to join our growing Sales Tax Compliance Outsourcing practice. This role is responsible for managing multi-state sales tax compliance engagements, supporting client relationships, and driving effective delivery across U.S. and offshore teams. /n The Associate will serve as a—leading select client engagements while supporting team members, improving processes, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. /n /n Key Responsibilities /n Compliance Management /n /n

- Oversee end-to-end sales tax compliance processes, including data intake, return preparation, review, filings, and payments

/n

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of multi-state filings in accordance with client deadlines

/n

- Review workpapers, returns, and reconciliations for quality and completeness

/n /n Issue Resolution /n /n

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day compliance issues, including data variances and filing discrepancies

/n

- Review, analyze, and resolve sales tax jurisdiction notices related to ongoing compliance

/n /n Global Team Coordination /n /n

- Act as liaison between U.S. and India-based teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines

/n

- Coordinate workflow, communicate priorities, and support team development

/n /n Process Improvement & Training /n /n





- Identify opportunities to improve compliance workflows, automation, and review efficiency

/n

- Assist in training on compliance processes, tools, and client service expectations

/n /n /n Qualifications /n /n

- 1-3 years of sales and use tax compliance experience

/n

- Strong experience managing multi-state compliance engagements and management of filings and payments

/n

- Experience addressing jurisdiction notices and compliance-related inquiries

/n

- Familiarity with tax software (e.g., Vertex, Avalara) and data processes

/n

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
