[email protected] A Purchasing manager will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors.
· Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
· Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of business
· Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
· Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
· Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
· Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
· Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
· Managing Import & Export shipment clearance, documentation, and Licensing. Monitoring complete Commercial Documentation (pre & post shipment) for Import.
· Responsible for EXIM-related activities like Import Documentation.
· Well-versed with various import compliances like BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), SIMS (Steel Import Monitoring System), Plant Quarantine Certificate for wood products, NFMIMS (Non-Ferrous Metal Import Monitoring System), WPC-ETA (Wireless Planning and Coordination) Certificate and PIMS (Paper Import Monitoring System).
· Issuance of Certificate of Origin (COO) and Certificate of Conformity (COC), issuance of Bill of Lading as per Letter of Credit (LC)/ buyer instructions.
· Thorough knowledge of customs HSN codes and requirements of different commodities for Imports and Exports
· Ensure all Statutory Returns & Compliance for Customs, Excise,
DGFT, and EIA are filed on time with the respective Government Agencies.
· Preparation of a positive reply against the query raised by the Customs Department along with suitable/proper evidence.
· Co-ordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, Transporters for Freight Negotiation & Customs Clearance activities, Cargo Tracking daily.
· Checking & clearing invoices of Service Providers.
· Have a formal understanding of domestic and international rules and regulations that govern the shipments of chemical items/ products.
· Logistics Vendor selection, on boarding & evaluation, rates negotiation & contract management.
· Handling of shipments according to the various Incoterms.
Skills Required :
· 6-8 years of proven experience as Import Export Executive
· Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
· Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
· Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
· Advanced skills in MS Office; Microsoft Power BI would be an added advantage.
· Good decision-making ability

Qualifications :
· Any Diploma or Degree in any engineering or an added course in Supply Chain Management
