Role Description The Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and clinical instruction to undergraduate physiotherapy students. Day-to-day activities include planning and conducting lectures, practical demonstrations, clinical supervision, and tutorials, as well as preparing teaching materials and assessments aligned with institutional and regulatory standards. The role involves guiding students in research projects, participating in curriculum development,



contributing to academic and departmental meetings, and engaging in professional development and scholarly activities.

The Assistant

Professor will also support student mentoring, academic advising, and participation in workshops, seminars, and outreach initiatives of the college. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jammu at Trikuta Group of Colleges.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy (MPT or equivalent) from a recognized institution; higher qualifications such as PhD in Physiotherapy are an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of core physiotherapy subjects, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice, with the ability to integrate theory into clinical and practical teaching.
- Experience in classroom and clinical teaching, including lesson planning, student assessment, and use of modern teaching-learning methods and educational technology.
- Research aptitude with the ability to guide student projects, contribute to publications, and participate in conferences, workshops, and academic collaborations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with a student-centered approach and commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory academic practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contribute to departmental administration, and participate actively in institutional committees and quality initiatives.
- Registration with relevant professional/physiotherapy council and adherence to applicable regulatory and accreditation norms.
