Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is a full-time, on-site role based at Karnavati University in Gandhinagar. The role involves delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in CSE, preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures, labs, and tutorials, and evaluating student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. The faculty member is expected to engage in research, publish in reputable journals and conferences, and participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement of academic programs.

Day-to-day responsibilities also include mentoring students, guiding them on projects and internships, contributing to departmental activities, and participating in academic committees and university initiatives.



The role requires regular interaction with peers, industry partners, and academic stakeholders to ensure the program remains current and relevant.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic knowledge in core CSE domains such as algorithms, data structures, operating systems, databases, computer networks, and software engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels using effective, learner-centered pedagogical methods.
- Active interest in research, with the potential or evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals or reputable conferences.
- Strong skills in mentoring and academic advising, including guiding student projects, internships, and career development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
- Minimum qualification of M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering; Ph.D. (awarded or near completion) in Computer Science Engineering.
- Familiarity with contemporary educational technologies, learning management systems, and industry-relevant tools and programming languages.
