Assistant Manager Utilities & Instrumentation (Solar Cell Manufacturing)

As an Assistant Manager – Utilities & Instrumentation, you will lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility and instrumentation systems to ensure reliable, productive, and safe manufacturing operations. Experience in TOPCon Solar Cell Manufacturing is preferred.

JD

- Manage plant utilities including HVAC, Chillers, Cooling Towers, CDA, Vacuum, DI Water, and Gas Systems.
- Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for utilities and instrumentation.
- Ensure high equipment uptime, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Oversee calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instruments, PLCs, SCADA, and automation systems.
- Drive energy-saving, cost-reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and EHS teams to support manufacturing operations.




- Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
- Prepare maintenance MIS reports, utility performance reports, and improvement plans.
- Lead and develop teams while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 8-11 years of experience in Utilities & Instrumentation, preferably in TOPCon/PERC Solar Cell Manufacturing or process industries.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems, PLCs, SCADA, automation, and instrumentation.
- Experience in reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
