Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Test Engineer with strong expertise in testing business applications running on the IBM i platform. The candidate should have hands-on experience in functional, integration, system, regression, batch, and data validation testing in AS400 environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute Functional, Integration, System, and Regression test cases.
- Validate AS400 / IBM i applications built using RPG/RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400.
- Perform batch job testing, scheduler validation, restart/recovery testing, and reconciliation testing.
- Validate interfaces, file transfers, and end-to-end business processes.
- Execute data validation and reconciliation activities across integrated systems.
- Log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), migration testing,



and production validation activities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills

Experience testing legacy AS400 applications.

- Experience in AMS, Transition, Migration, or Modernization programs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of AS400 architecture, libraries, jobs, subsystems, and DB2/400 data structures.
