Role Description The Area Collection Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for overseeing and optimizing collections operations within the assigned region. This role involves managing collection teams, setting and monitoring collection targets, and ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining regulatory and policy compliance. The individual will review and analyze portfolio performance, identify risk trends, and implement corrective action plans to improve collection efficiency and reduce delinquencies.





Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting field visits when required, coordinating with branch staff and other stakeholders, handling escalated cases, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting of collection activities.

The Area Collection

Manager is also expected to promote customer-centric practices in collections, support training and performance management of collection executives, and collaborate with senior management on strategy and process improvements.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in collections management, portfolio monitoring, and recovery strategies, with the ability to manage targets and reduce delinquencies effectively.
- Strong people management skills, including team leadership, performance tracking, coaching, and the ability to coordinate with branches and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of retail finance or NBFC operations, particularly in vehicle and housing finance, along with knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret collection data, identify risk patterns, and implement practical solutions and process improvements.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle escalations professionally and maintain a customer-focused approach during recovery.
- Comfort with on-site field activities, including customer visits and local market engagement in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an added advantage.
