As a Apprentice Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems in water and wastewater treatment facilities for Municipal, Industrial & Infrastructure Projects. This entry-level role provides exposure to engineering practices, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration, with opportunities for professional growth. This role offers hands-on experience in project execution, equipment selection, and process optimization, while working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
Job responsibility
- Mechanical system design Assist in preparing layouts, drawings, and specifications for pumps, piping, and valves. Assist in drafting, 3D modeling, and creating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;) for water treatment plants (WTP), sewage treatment plants (STP), and effluent treatment plants (ETP).
- Project documentation Contribute to technical reports, calculations, and engineering deliverables, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), datasheets, and operation and maintenance (O&M;).
- Equipment evaluation Support procurement by reviewing vendor proposals and technical compliance
- Health & safety compliance Ensure adherence to company safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Team collaboration Work with civil, electrical, and process engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Academic passing year 2026.
- No dead or live backlogs/ATKT.
- Minimum 7 CGPA throughout all semesters.
- Candidates must not have any prior work experience.
- Candidates with a master's degree are eligible only if their bachelor's degree was completed within four years of the application date. Therefore, a B.Tech degree completed before 2022 would not meet this requirement.
- Candidates must not be registered on the NATS portal.
- Internship, academic project, or industrial training experience related to engineering design or project delivery is preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
- Understanding of digital engineering, BIM, CAD, or data analytics tools.
- Exposure to international engineering standards and practices is desirable.
Apprentice Eligibility Requirements As this chance falls under the Apprentices Act, 1961, applicants must additionally meet the following criteria
- Must be eligible for apprenticeship training under the Government of India guidelines.
- Must not have previously undergone apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- Must satisfy all eligibility conditions prescribed by the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and applicable government regulations.
