Role Description The Advocate will work full time on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, handling a range of litigation and advisory matters. Daily responsibilities include drafting pleadings, notices, contracts, and legal opinions; reviewing documents and case laws; and preparing case strategies in coordination with senior advocates and clients. The role involves appearing before courts, tribunals, and other authorities; conducting legal research to support arguments and filings; and managing case files, timelines, and documentation.

The Advocate will interact with clients to gather information, explain legal options, and maintain professional communication while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications





- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the Bar Council of the relevant state.
- Demonstrated experience or strong internships in litigation, drafting, and legal research, preferably within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
- Ability to prepare and review pleadings, contracts, notices, and other legal documents with attention to detail and clarity.
- Strong knowledge of procedural and substantive law, including relevant civil, criminal, and commercial statutes and rules.
- Effective oral advocacy skills, including clear presentation of arguments in court and professional client communication.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to client confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Capacity to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively with the firm’s team.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages used in Mumbai courts and offices is an advantage.
- Comfort with basic office software and digital tools for drafting, research, and case management.
- Prior experience in a law firm or chambers, or a strong record of internships and moot court participation, will be beneficial.
