About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to support the finance operations of a growing construction and contracting business. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

The successful candidate should be organized, analytical, and capable of handling day-to-day accounting activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Verify invoices, purchase orders, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing budgets, financial statements, and audit schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial transactions and documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by providing the required financial information.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.




- 3–6 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within the construction, contracting, engineering, or infrastructure industry.
- Robust knowledge of journal entries, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills in English.

Ideal Candidate Background We are looking for candidates with accounting experience in construction, contracting, engineering, infrastructure, or project-based organizations. Professionals with a solid understanding of financial transactions, accounting entries, cost tracking, reconciliations, and ERP-based accounting systems will be highly preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
