Candidature Requirements:

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer with 4+ years of experience to join our development team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Java backend development, with good knowledge of building scalable and reliable applications. Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture will be preferred. The candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work effectively within an Agile development workplace.

Areas of responsibility:

- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based backend applications.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Java code.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development and production environments.
- Work closely with architects, developers, business analysts, testers, and other stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Perform unit testing and contribute to automated testing practices.




- Support application deployment and production releases as required.
- Identify performance, scalability, and reliability improvements within backend applications.
- Research and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and development practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Must-have requirements:

- 4+ years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of Spring / Spring Boot.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
- Good understanding of exception handling, logging, debugging, and performance considerations.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ownership and accountability with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred / Good-to-have requirements:

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
- Understanding of Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, offsets, and consumer groups.
- Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Experience with messaging systems or other distributed event-streaming technologies.
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
