Description

We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Project Manager to drive our mechanical, electrical, and embedded hardware programs from R&D; through release. You'll keep cross-functional engineering teams, vendors, and factories aligned, manage schedules and priorities across concurrent initiatives, and use data to drive decisions and surface risk early.





Key Responsibilities

- Own planning, scheduling, and execution of multiple hardware programs across mechanical, electrical, and embedded engineering teams

- Translate R&D; and product roadmaps into clear schedules, milestones, and deliverables

- Coordinate release schedules across disciplines, proactively identifying and managing cross-team dependencies

- Manage vendor and contract manufacturer/original design manufacturer coordination, including deliverables, timelines, and issue resolution

- Support factory builds (engineering, design, and production validation stages), including build readiness, on-site coordination, and issue escalation

- Drive certification activities (regulatory, safety, compliance) to ensure on-time approvals for release

- Partner closely with the software/firmware team to align hardware-software integration and release timing

- Track task status, unblock engineers, escalate risks, and keep stakeholders informed on program health

- Build and maintain program dashboards, using metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements

- Report program status, risks, and key decisions to senior management





- Manage prioritization across concurrent R&D; and release efforts, balancing near-term and long-term work

- Facilitate design reviews, planning sessions, and release readiness checkpoints

- Manage scope, risk, and critical path across all active programs

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience managing R&D; initiatives alongside production releases

- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or embedded/firmware engineering

- Experience with tools like Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project

- PMP or equivalent certification

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Any Engineering, or equivalent experience

- 7+ years managing hardware programs: scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path

- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, embedded), vendors and contract/design manufacturers, and factory builds

- Experience supporting certification/compliance processes for hardware products

- Strong prioritization, resource planning, and stakeholder/senior management communication skills
