Years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a multinational or large-scale organisation.
Demonstrate excellent understanding of Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.)
Possess analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to solve problems when identified
Demonstrate the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with global stakeholders.
Fluency in spoken and written English
Proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP etc
General Ledger accounting responsibilities during month close and year-end close
Preparation of analysis and workings in relation to various GL accounts (accruals, prepaids etc)
Prepare and upload journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications




Account Analysis and analytical review of the various GL areas assigned to identify and explain significant fluctuations
Preparation of the Bank Reconciliation statement through Cash Management System in Oracle
Fixed Assets accounting for India Statutory books IGAAP adjustments, depreciation run, preparation of India Statutory fixed assets register
Preparation of various Balance Sheet reconciliations for the areas handled
Process AP vendor invoices and payments in accordance with the approval matrix, internal controls, and company policies
Review and validate AP accounting entries including expenses, accruals, provisions, and vendor postings
Ensure strict compliance with Akamai's accounting Policies including SOX controls
