nABOUT THE ROLEn
nTooling availability sets the ceiling on how much we can make. This role owns both halves of that — designing the moulds and fixtures that let new parts launch, and running the maintenance system that keeps 1.8 million commutators a month moving out of the door.n

nWHAT YOU'LL DOn
n• Design compression and transfer moulds,



turning fixtures, slot-cutting and hook-bending tooling for current partsn
n• Size cavities, gating, venting and ejection for thermoset moulding at production volumesn
n• Build and run a shot-count-based PM schedule per mould, not a calendar-based onen
n• Maintain tool history cards, wear tracking and tool life recordsn
n• Diagnose tooling-driven defects — flash, short moulding, segment burr, dimensional drift on turningn
n• Root cause to the tool rather than to the operator, with evidencen
n• Supervise the tool room team and allocate work against production priorityn
n• Control external tool vendors for work not done in-housen
n• Drive cycle time reduction, cavity count increases and tool life extensionn

nWHAT YOU'LL BRINGn
n• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering, or a formal tool and die apprenticeship (NTTF, CIPET or equivalent)n
