1. JOB PURPOSE

To provide strategic leadership for Human Resources and Industrial Relations at MSP Steel & Power Ltd., Raigarh Works, ensuring a high-performance culture, harmonious industrial relations, statutory compliance, workforce productivity, capability development, talent management, and employee engagement. The role will partner with Plant Leadership in achieving operational excellence, business growth, expansion objectives, and organisational transformation.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

A. Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and implement the Plant HR Strategy aligned with business plans, production targets, capacity expansion and organisational objectives.
Act as a strategic business partner to the Plant Head and Functional Heads.
Drive manpower planning, workforce optimisation, organisation design and succession planning.
Lead workforce productivity initiatives and improve manpower efficiency across operations.
Develop HR dashboards and analytics for informed business decisions.
Promote a culture of accountability, performance excellence and continuous improvement.

Talent Management & Capability Building
Lead recruitment and talent acquisition for leadership, technical and operational positions.
Establish competency frameworks and talent review processes.
Drive Performance Management System (PMS) implementation and calibration.
Develop leadership pipeline through succession planning and career development initiatives.
Implement Learning & Development programmes, technical capability enhancement and behavioural interventions.
Strengthen employee retention through career progression and engagement initiatives.
C. Attrition Control & Employee Retention
Develop and implement a comprehensive employee retention strategy aligned with business requirements and workforce demographics.
Continuously monitor attrition trends across employee categories, functions, grades, tenure bands and locations, and identify root causes through data-driven analysis.
