We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Executive to join our team and take ownership of UK payroll and accounting activities.
Role Description
Manage end-to-end UK payroll, including Denpay and staff payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Process payroll data in Xero for Practices and Head Office.
Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, VAT and other statutory requirements.
Liaise with the Treasurer and outsourced payroll providers to ensure timely payments and accurate payroll processing.
Maintain and reconcile financial trackers, including retention, locum therapists and overpayments.
Prepare monthly MI and financial reports to support business decisions.
Manage accounting activities using Xero, including reconciliations, financial statements and reporting.
Support audits, resolve financial queries and improve processes across the business.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Payroll and Accounts/Accounts Receivable.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Robust understanding of UK payroll and HMRC requirements.
Hands-on experience with Xero.
Experience with Denpay or a similar payroll system is desirable.
Experience with end-to-end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Experience working with UK-based organisations and outsourced payroll providers is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.
