Senior QA Engineer / Test Lead (Banking Applications)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer / Test Lead with strong expertise in Banking and Financial Services testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for test planning, execution, regression validation, production-quality sign-offs, and leading QA activities across maintenance and enhancement releases. Experience with core banking, payments, trade finance, custody, or financial messaging platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare effort estimates and test plans for application enhancements, maintenance, and release activities.
Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing across banking applications.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Lead QA activities for projects and support junior team members with functional and technical guidance.
Identify, track,



and manage defects through closure while ensuring quality standards are met.
Review business requirements and functional specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Coordinate with stakeholders, business users, developers, and product teams to resolve issues and validate solutions.
Provide quality sign-off for patch releases, enhancements, and production deployments.
Contribute to test process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Skills

Functional Skills

4+ years of Software Testing / Quality Assurance experience.
Strong experience in Banking and Financial Services domain.
Good understanding of Retail Banking operations and workflows.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and defect management skills.
Experience in test planning, execution, reporting, and release validation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
