Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering role based at Northern Institute of Engineering Technical Campus in Alwar. The role involves delivering undergraduate and, where applicable, postgraduate lectures and labs in core and specialized areas of Civil Engineering, including structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and related subjects. The Assistant Professor will prepare course materials, design assessments, guide student projects,



and provide academic advising and mentorship. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research or scholarly activities, participating in curriculum development, engaging in departmental and institutional committees, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes. The role also expects contribution to student outreach, industry interaction, and a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Postgraduate degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution;
- Robust foundation in core Civil Engineering domains such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, water resources, and construction management.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, design course content, conduct laboratory sessions, and evaluate student performance using fair and transparent methods.
- Experience or interest in research, publications, conference participation, and guiding student projects in relevant Civil Engineering areas.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and support an inclusive classroom environment.
