30-Day Paid Project | On-Site — Gurgaon
I'm looking for a hungry interior design student / recent graduate to take ownership of a very specific project:
Transform a large spare bedroom in my Gurgaon home into a multi-purpose creator studio within 30 days.
This isn't an internship where you'll spend a month making moodboards for someone else.
You'll be given a real room, a real execution budget, and the responsibility of taking the project from concept → design → sourcing → vendor coordination → installation → finished studio.
What We're Building
The room needs to function as a flexible creator space with multiple distinct environments:
- Two-person podcast setup
- Large whiteboard / teaching setup
- Professional talking-head / founder content setup
- Additional interchangeable Reel backgrounds
- Existing boxing/training area integrated into the design
- Equipment and creator-gear storage
- Good lighting and cable management
- Basic acoustic treatment
- Large open central area for cameras, lights and production
The goal is not simply to make the room beautiful.
The goal is to design a room where we can shoot multiple types of high-quality content without every video looking like it was filmed in the same place.
Your Responsibility
You'll own the project end-to-end:
Week 1 — Design
- Visit and measure the room
- Understand filming requirements and camera angles
- Create the proposed floor plan
- Build moodboards
- Produce 3D visualisations/renders
- Plan lighting, furniture and set placement
- Create an itemised procurement budget
- Present the final concept for approval
Weeks 2–3 — Execution
- Source furniture, lighting,
decor and materials
- Find and coordinate local vendors
- Coordinate painter/carpenter/electrician where required
- Manage purchases within the approved budget
- Be physically present during important installations
- Ensure the design is actually executed correctly
Week 4 — Production Testing & Finish
- Set up all filming environments
- Test how each environment looks on camera
- Adjust lighting, furniture and backgrounds where necessary
- Resolve practical issues such as cables, storage and acoustics
- Deliver a completely finished, shoot-ready room
Design Philosophy
The studio should be:
Modular. Reversible. Functional. Camera-first.
We don't want unnecessary permanent construction.
Most elements should be movable, replaceable or reusable so the room can eventually be converted back into a bedroom if required.
We would rather have five excellent camera frames than one expensive Instagrammable wall.
Who I'm Looking For
Ideally, you're:
- A final year interior design or interior architecture student OR a recent graduate
- Based in Delhi NCR and able to work on-site in Gurgaon
- Comfortable with basic space planning and 3D visualisation
- Good at sourcing furniture/decor within a budget
- Resourceful with vendors and local markets
- Someone with solid visual taste
- Comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for instructions
Most importantly:
You need to be an executor.
I don't need 30 days of Pinterest boards.
I need a finished room.
Compensation
₹20,000 fixed project stipend
+ ₹5,000 completion bonus for delivering the agreed studio within 30 days and within the approved execution budget.
Separate interior execution/procurement budget will be provided.
Total potential compensation: ₹25,000 for the 30-day project.
What You Get
You'll get unusually high ownership for an internship-level project.
You'll be able to take a real interior space from concept to completion and use the finished transformation in your portfolio.
You'll work directly with the founder, manage a real budget, interact with vendors, make design decisions and leave with a completed project rather than hypothetical college work.
Location
Gurgaon, Delhi NCR
This is primarily an on-site project. You do not need to sit in the room for eight hours every day, but you must be available on-site whenever the project requires it.
How to Apply
Send:
- Your name, university/course and current year
- Portfolio or examples of your work
- Any 3D renders you've created
- Your current location
- Your availability over the next 30 days
- A short answer to:
“If you had ₹1.25 lakh and 30 days to turn one bedroom into five visually distinct filming environments, how would you approach it?”
Applications without a portfolio/work samples will not be prioritised.
Immediate start.
