Job Requirements*

Strong hands‑on experience with Zabbix (installation, configuration, maintenance, tuning).
Expertise in Zabbix components: Server, Proxy, Agent/Agent2, Front-end, Database backend.
Proficiency in configuring: Hosts, templates, items, triggers, Actions, escalations, discovery rules, Maps, dashboards
Positive knowledge of Oracle Linux administration.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, SNMP, ICMP, HTTP/HTTPS).
Experience with databases used by Zabbix (MySQL).
Ability to develop custom monitoring scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Experience integrating Zabbix with: APIs and Webhooks
Familiarity with performance tuning, high‑availability setups, and distributed monitoring.
Knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Azure, AWS) for monitoring.
Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).

Key Responsibilities*

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Zabbix Server, Proxies, and Agents.
Manage templates, items, triggers, graphs,



discovery rules, and dashboards.
Develop custom scripts for advanced monitoring needs.
Create and maintain:
Low-level discovery (LLD) rules
Complex triggers with dependencies
Calculated items and aggregate monitoring
Automate monitoring deployment using APIs or configuration management tools.
Investigate and troubleshoot monitoring alerts.
Perform root-cause analysis for monitoring issues.
Ensure data accuracy and reduce noise by tuning thresholds and triggers.
Integrate Zabbix with ITSM tools (ServiceNow), messaging tools, and APIs
Build advanced notification and escalation workflows.
Develop:
Custom dashboards for different teams
SLA/SLO monitoring
Executive-level reports
Document Zabbix configurations, standards, and runbooks.
Train internal teams on using dashboards, alerts, and self-service monitoring features.
