Position Purpose

To lead and drive the overall Health, Safety, and Workplace (HSE) strategy for the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, implementation of world-class safety practices, prevention of incidents, and development of a strong safety culture across employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership & Governance

Develop and implement the organization's safety vision, policies, standards, and procedures.
Establish a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and employee engagement.
Drive Zero Harm and Incident-Free Workplace initiatives.
Chair safety committees and lead periodic safety reviews with management.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory requirements including:
Factories Act and Rules
Gujarat Factory Rules
PESO Requirements
Fire & Emergency Regulations
Hazardous Waste Management Rules
Pollution Control Board Requirements
ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Standards
Liaise with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
Risk Assessment & Control

Lead HIRA, JSA,



Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control Measures.
Ensure implementation of permit-to-work systems.
Drive process safety and operational risk management.
Monitor critical safety controls and compliance.

Manufacturing Shop Floor Safety

Ensure safe operations in:
Welding & Fabrication Areas
Assembly Shops
Material Handling Operations
Pressure Testing Areas
Utility Systems
Chemical Handling Areas
Contractor Work Locations
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
Incident Management

Lead investigation of incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Track closure and effectiveness of mitigation actions.

Contractor Safety Management

Establish contractor safety management framework.
Ensure compliance of contractors with safety requirements.
Conduct contractor safety inductions, evaluations, and audi
