Accounting Specialist: Lease Accounting.
Role Summary:

Seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accounting, analysis, and reporting of complex lease transactions. This role focuses on lease assets and liabilities, straight-line rent adjustments, contract analysis, financial reporting, audits, and monthly close activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly financial close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal control documentation.
Analyze lease agreements, amendments, and contract modifications to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
Review key contractual terms such as lease periods, termination rights, billing amounts, and financial clauses.
Prepare financial reports, presentations, and management analyses by collecting and summarizing contract data.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, calculations, and audit findings.
Conduct contract audits to ensure financial terms are accurately processed.




Research and resolve complex lease accounting and contract interpretation issues.
Lead cross-functional projects involving lease and tenant data.
Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Lease Administration, Land Management, and other stakeholders to improve processes and ensure compliance.
Train recent employees and maintain process documentation.

Qualifications & Skills
CA/CMA/CPA required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Billing, or Contract Management.
Strong knowledge of lease accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting.
Ability to interpret complex contracts and multiple amendments.
Oracle ERP experience preferred.
French language proficiency preferred.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
