Test Manager – Banking | QA/QE & Automation

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager with 12+ years of overall experience and strong expertise in Banking, QA/QE, Testing and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading end-to-end testing initiatives for complex banking/financial applications, while remaining hands-on with automation frameworks and quality engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage end-to-end QA, testing and quality engineering activities across banking applications and technology platforms.
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, automation strategies and quality processes.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, system and end-to-end testing initiatives.
- Drive test automation using relevant frameworks and tools, ensuring improved coverage, efficiency and faster release cycles.
- Provide technical and functional guidance to QA engineers and automation teams.
- Collaborate closely with Business, Product, Engineering, Technology and Operations teams to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Identify testing risks, dependencies and gaps, and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
- Establish and monitor QA metrics, defect trends, test coverage and overall quality KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of QE, shift-left and automation-first practices.
- Manage defect lifecycle,



root-cause analysis and resolution in collaboration with development teams.
- Support release planning, production readiness and go-live activities.
- Mentor and develop QA/test teams and ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.

Mandatory Requirements

- 12+ years of overall IT/QA experience, with significant experience in Test/QA Management.
- Strong and proven Banking domain experience; experience with banking applications, financial products or transaction platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong background in QA/QE, Test Management and Software Testing.
- Solid hands-on Automation Testing experience with automation frameworks and scripting/programming.
- Experience in designing and implementing automation strategies and frameworks.
- Robust understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum and modern quality engineering practices.
- Proven experience managing QA teams and delivering testing for complex enterprise applications.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple testing priorities.

Preferred

- Experience with CI/CD and integration of automation into DevOps pipelines.
- Exposure to API, database and performance testing.
- Experience with cloud-based applications and up-to-date testing tools.
- Relevant banking/financial services certifications will be an added advantage.
