About Rahul Textiles

Rahul Textiles is a generational textile business with over 40 years of experience in the industry. We have built our reputation through our expertise in traditional textiles and some of the finest hand block printing in the industry.

As we move into the next chapter of our business, we have recently expanded into digital textile printing and are building a solid design-driven operation alongside our traditional printing expertise.

We are looking for a passionate Textile Designer who understands prints, patterns and textiles and wants to be part of this journey.

The Role

You will work closely with our design and production teams to develop textile prints and patterns for both our traditional and digital printing processes.

The role will involve:

- Creating original textile prints, patterns and motifs.
- Developing designs suitable for digital textile printing.
- Creating and editing artwork using Adobe Illustrator or other vector-based CAD/design software.
- Developing seamless repeats and print layouts.
- Converting and preparing artwork for production.
- Working with motifs, colours, scales and pattern arrangements.
- Adapting traditional hand block printing aesthetics into contemporary textile designs.
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure designs are technically suitable for printing.
- Learning and understanding the technical aspects of digital textile printing, colour and production workflows.

Our Design Approach

We strongly prefer vector-based artwork wherever practical, rather than raster artwork, because it gives us greater flexibility during production and allows designs to be scaled and modified efficiently.

You should therefore be comfortable working with Illustrator or another vector-based CAD/design software. Knowledge of Photoshop and raster-based workflows is also useful, but vector design is particularly important for this role.

You don't need to know everything when you join us.

We are completely open to talented freshers who have a strong eye for design, understand patterns and prints, and genuinely want to build a career in textiles.

We would love to meet someone who:

- Is passionate about textile and surface design.
- Has a solid understanding of colour, composition and patterns.
- Is comfortable with Illustrator or similar vector-based design software.
- Has an interest in traditional Indian prints, especially block printing.
- Is creative and willing to experiment.
- Can take an idea and develop it into a finished print.
- Is willing to learn the technical side of textile printing.
- Can work with patience and attention to detail.
- Takes ownership of their work.
- Most importantly, has the passion to keep learning and improving.

You may not know much about textile production or digital printing when you join us — that's okay.
