Job Description
Bright Future Foundation is looking for a skilled and responsible Backend Developer to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving backend systems, databases, APIs and internal software applications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain secure backend applications and systems.
Create and manage APIs for web and mobile applications.
Work with databases and ensure proper data management.
Identify and fix backend errors and performance issues.
Integrate frontend applications with backend services.
Maintain proper documentation of systems and processes.
Ensure application security, data protection and regular backups.
Coordinate with the frontend, design and management teams.
Support and maintain the organisation’s existing software systems.
Required Skills
Minimum 1 year of relevant backend development experience.




Knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Python or similar technologies.
Good understanding of REST APIs.
Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or other databases.
Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to complete work within deadlines.
Basic understanding of frontend technologies will be an advantage.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
