Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB DP Psychology Guide.
- Develop students' understanding of biological, cognitive, and sociocultural approaches to psychology.
- Teach research methods, ethics, and psychological theories.
- Support students in developing critical analysis and evaluation skills.
- Integrate inquiry-based, student-centered teaching methodologies.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Assessment
- Design formative and summative assessments in line with IB assessment criteria.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for Internal Assessment (IA) and external examinations.
- Maintain accurate academic records and progress reports.
Curriculum Planning
- Develop yearly, unit, and lesson plans aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Participate in curriculum review and collaborative planning.
- Integrate ATL (Approaches to Learning)
skills and the IB Learner Profile into classroom practice.
Student Support
- Mentor and guide students academically.
- Monitor student progress and communicate with parents when required.
- Encourage independent learning and academic integrity.
Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in IB workshops and professional development.
- Attend departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
