Experience / Skills:
In depth knowledge and extensive experience with embedded firmware development
Expertise in the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environments
Extensive experience programming in Python
Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or a related technology
Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS
Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage
Ability to work independently with a minimum of day-to-day supervision
Experience with team leadership and/or supervising junior engineers and technicians
Ability to work in a multi-functional team and under the pressure of multiple priorities
AI Proficiency / AI-Enabled Ways of Working




Proficient in leveraging Micron-approved GenAI tools (e.g., Claude Code, M365 Copilot, GenieLLM) to accelerate firmware development workflows, including AI-assisted code generation, unit test generation, and code review.
Experience or working knowledge of applying AI agents/agentic workflows to firmware debugging and root-cause analysis (RCA), improving triage and cycle-time efficiency while maintaining engineer-in-the-loop validation.
Ability to identify and scope opportunities for AI-driven automation in embedded firmware tasks (e.g., test coverage improvement, memory/code optimization, defect analysis) in line with Micron's AI-Driven Product Development and Productivity & AI Foundations pillars.
Understanding of and adherence to Micron's AI Governance Policy and Acceptable Use Guidelines for Generative AI, including human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code, security/IP safeguards, and licensing compliance.
