Role & responsibilities
Ensure welding activities are performed as per approved WPS, PQR, and welding standards.
Preparation of ITP / QAP as peer the customer specification.
Review and understand the various project NDT and Welding requirement.
Conduct in-process and final inspection of welded components and assemblies.
Verify weld dimensions, visual quality, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
Monitor welder qualification and maintain welder performance records.
Control welding consumables storage, handling, and issuance.
Educate shop floor welders to enhance the workmanship.
Analysis welding defects and find out the root cause.
Generate quality inspection reports and final quality dossier.
