The Deputy Manager Customs Clearance, Documentation & Operations Sea Export will be responsible for managing and supervising end-to-end sea export customs clearance, documentation and operational activities. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate export documentation, customs compliance, coordination with customs and port authorities, handling customer requirements, resolving operational issues and ensuring smooth execution of sea export shipments. The position will also be responsible for leading and managing a team of 1012 members, monitoring daily operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and achieving defined service and operational standards.

The Deputy Manager will be specifically responsible for the following activities:
Manage end-to-end sea export customs clearance, documentation and operational activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, notifications and export procedures.

• Supervise preparation and verification of export documentation including Shipping Bills, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and other regulatory documents.
Coordinate with customs authorities, ports, terminals, shipping lines, CHA/customs brokers and other stakeholders.





• Monitor shipment status and ensure timely completion of customs clearance and documentation.

• Handle customer relationships and resolve operational and documentation-related issues.

• Review HS Classification, Incoterms and customs valuation requirements.

• Ensure effective utilization of ICEGATE, EDI systems and other customs portals.

• Lead, guide and monitor a team of 1012 members.
Monitor team productivity, work allocation, quality and turnaround time.

• Identify operational challenges and implement appropriate corrective actions.

• Prepare and review operational MIS and performance reports.
Ensure adherence to company SOPs, customer requirements and compliance standards.

Robust knowledge of export documentation including:

Shipping Bills

oBills of Lading

o Certificates of Origin

o Commercial Invoices

o Packing Lists

o Other regulatory and export documents

Hands-on experience with ICEGATE, EDI systems and customs portals. Valuable understanding of HS Classification, Incoterms and Customs Valuation.
